A camouflage theme lends itself to all sorts of hide-and-seek activities, with lots of inexpensive hand-crafted party decoration possibilities.

The Invitations

A great birthday party begins with creating the perfect invitations. Invitations can have a camouflage pattern on the front. It you’re having a hunting birthday type of party, you can have a picture of deer on the front.

Hunting invitation wording can say something like “I’m hunting to have a great birthday celebration this year”.

Decoration Tutorials

A camouflage birthday theme can utilize plenty of greens and browns in the decorations. Potted plants can be moved into the party room from the rest of the house. If you have room, a small tent could be setup. You can decorate the table with a centrepiece of animal toys, such as deer or rabbits, then scatter paper-cut leaves around them.

The walls of the room can be decorated with the Images of animals, or army vehicles. Paper plates and cups can be in dark brown or green colors.

Party Favors

Camouflage Party favors can be purchased online, or even made by you using a DIY tutorial or something you make up yourself! Compasses make a great party favor. You can attached a thank you tag to it as well and give them out to your guests when the party is over!

Games/Activities

There are many army or hunting birthday party activities to try. This is the perfect time to make or buy a pinata in the shape of an animal. Kids can be blindfolded, and then given a bat to whack at the pinata to get it open, and have the prizes and candy cascade out. The first child who succeeds is the one who has the pick of the prizes. The rest will be shared with the rest of the kids.

Another fun game can be to hide small animals around the backyard. The kids can be sent out on an expedition to find the animals. Each animal can be marked with a number that can coordinate with a bigger prize.

An army, camouflage or hunting party can be fun for young kids. Many parents have un-themed birthday party for kids, but you’re guaranteed to have a good attendance if you send out party invites that indicate yours will have a fun theme.

The Food

Party food for an army birthday party should be kept simple. Hot dogs could be barbecued outside. Food can also be packaged, such as potato chips or granola bars.

The birthday cake can be decorated on the top with a deer or camouflage theme. If you don’t want to do a birthday cake, you can have cupcakes instead.

Sending Out Thank Yous

Thank you cards can be sent any time after the birthday party. I always recommend sending out photo thank you cards as it is a great keepsake for your guests of your little ones special first birthday!
